Robert Leslie Swank, of Florissant, Missouri, was born January 22, 1954, in Danville, Missouri, to Ollie Ellsworth and Dorothy June (nee Butler) Swank and entered into rest, Sunday, February 26, 2012, at DePaul Health Center, in Bridgeton, Missouri, at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 4 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents, Lora Odbert Swank, Hazel D. Rohrer, William Austin Butler and Tessa Mabel Huffman. He is survived by his wife, Megan McBeth Swank, of Florissant, Missouri, (married July 14, 2010), his former wife, Lori Elaine Swank; seven (7) children, Steven Henry (Tracy) Ritter, James Robert Swank, William Austin Swank, Michael Shane (Grace Boehm) Swank, Justin Warden Swank, Callista June Swank, Megan Elizabeth Swank, step-daughter, Caileen Opal Mouser (William) Jones, six (6) grandchildren, Jaster Ritter, Christopher Ritter, Sydney Ritter, Wesley Ritter, Kristina Elizabeth Mouser, and Gilbert Paul Swank, his sisters, Beverly June Swank and Lesley Swank Donze (Gary) Kentgen, his nieces and nephews, Francisco “Paco” (Mandi) Kuidlan, Carla Kay Donze (Todd) Johnson, great-nieces and nephews, Cody and Jenna Bare, Chayten and Jocelyn Kuidlan, and Trinity Johnson, and many other relatives and friends. Bob graduated from McCluer High School where his interests were commercial art, American and World history, band, marching band, and orchestra. He attended Central Christian College of the Bible studying Ministry and Counseling from 1980-1983. Bob worked in retail management, law enforcement, ministry, Chambers of Commerce, and Economic Development. Bob always felt that the common thread between all of these careers was his desire to help people. Bob was a lifelong scout. Most recently a member of Non-Profit Organizations, including: Renaissance St. Louis, Kiwanis Club, and Living History Re-enactors. He filled a countless number of roles and positions for each of these organizations, holding each one near and dear to his heart. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
