Mark Joseph Capkovic

March 19, 1953 - May 26, 2018

Mark Joseph Capkovic, a man of great faith, was called home to his Heavenly Father on May 26, 2018. Mark leaves behind his beloved wife, Mona Sue Capkovic; his faithful son, Michael Joseph Capkovic (wife, Kelly); his favorite daughter, Ramona Ann Gau (wife, Sara); four beautiful grandchildren: Ava, Olivia, Cecelia & Madeline; his mother, Joan A. Huebner; four brothers: Christopher, Steven, Bryan & Robert; & his sister, Maureen Rose. Mark was predeceased by his father, Joseph S. Capkovic; & two brothers: James & David. Mark was a natural born leader, being the oldest of eight children. He was a faithful & hardworking husband; a loving father; a fun-loving grandfather; & a devoted son & brother. Mark thoroughly enjoyed gardening & caring for his 7 acres. Levity was important to Mark, & he was always finding creative ways to make people laugh. Mark had a heart for all people to understand the truth of Jesus & to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). He ministered to the elderly for decades across a number of St. Louis area elderly care facilities. Prior to being called home, Mark worked as a full time minister of the Gospel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Joyce Meyer’s Hand of Hope Prison Ministry (joycemeyer.org), the Joshua Project for the unreached (Joshua project.net) and/or the Gateway House of Prayer (314-849-PRAY). A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Gateway House of Prayer, 4646 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63127.
