Arthur L. Rohlfing, Jr (Butch) Jan 11, 1950 - Nov 26, 2022 Beloved son of Arthur L. Rohlfing and Elizabeth Kavanaugh Rohlfing, brother of Ann Smith (Wiley), Mike Rohlfing (Nancy), and Jim Rohlfing (Jan). Dear uncle of Laura Kreisman (Joel), Libby Rohlfing (Matt Demanett), Chris Rohlfing (Kelley), Tom Rohlfing (Katie), Alison Maloof (M.J.), Colin Rohlfing, Kaitlin Mathes (Joe), great uncle to Liv, Finn, Catherine (Cat), Julia, Court, Beau, Jack, Olivia, Jackson, Zola, Charlie, Hannah, Atticus, James, Libby, and Tommy. Butch was born in Dallas, Texas. The family moved to back to St Louis where he attended grade school at Our Lady of Lourdes, graduated from University City High School, attended Meramac Community College where he played soccer and was an Honorable Mention All-America; attended Southwest Missouri State, served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and then moved into his career in the bar/restaurant business. He owned and operated Kavanaugh's Restaurant in South St Louis, then moved to Dallas and worked in the Mansion at Turtle Creek. Butch came back to St Louis and worked at many local restaurants with notable time at the restaurant in the Golf Course in Forest Park, and as Catering Manager for the Engineers Club of St Louis. In retirement Butch was an avid reader, breezed through the NYT crossword puzzles, and loved old movies, especially westerns. He loved his family and was loyal to his friends. There will be a Memorial Service and celebration with family and friends on Wed, Dec 28th at 11:00 AM at the Parish Center of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7144 Forsyth Blvd. The parish center is directly behind the church with parking in the school
