Kimberly Wilcox-Rice

Kimberly Wilcox-Rice Kimberly Wilcox-Rice age 58 passed away on September 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 16, 1965, in St. Joseph Missouri to Lyle “Shorty” Wilcox and Verona “Dottie” Brown. She married the love of her life Rod Rice on April 16, 1994. She and Rod were blessed with two beautiful children, Dylan and Morgan, who she loved with all her heart. She was a hands on Mom, who loved helping them with their school activities, Dylan and the LHS Band through fundraising flea markets for the LHS Bandstanders, and helping Morgan with her theatre productions and plays. Kim loved taking family vacations with her kids to visit a wide variety of locations, including witnessing her beloved Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl 54. Kim was an accomplished businesswoman, receiving an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and serving Wells Fargo Advisors in various positions during her 18 years with the company, rising to the level of Senior Vice President. During her time at Wells Fargo, Kim served as a mentor to many young professionals and was always available to help them move up and succeed. She is survived by family and friends who will forever hold her dear, her husband Rod, daughter Morgan, son Dylan, step-father Roy Brown, step-brothers Jay (Larenza) Brown, Scott Brown and Jeff Brown nieces Remington (Wilcox) Badami, Rachael Wilcox, Rachel Overby, Tessa (Overby) Spangler and Kelsea Lilla, nephews, Brandon Wilcox, Blake Wilcox, Brock Wilcox, Carson Lilla and Patrick Overby, Uncles Jack (Theresa) Wilcox and Kenny (Sue) Wilcox and many other family members, friends and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kelly. Kim’s amazing life will be celebrated by those who loved her, on October 20th, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Tapawingo Country Club in Sunset Hills, Missouri.
